We are entering a unique period of history, where the opportunities for great leaders will far exceed the talent pool available. Those who ready themselves now for this opportunity will be the ones who lead our most important organizations and institutions tomorrow. We are calling you to this initiative to be one of those leaders and to help you get there and win.
GLI's Summer Institute (GLSI) is designed to stimulate the leadership development of African American student leaders. GLSI begins with the understanding that leadership development fundamentally involves the exploration of leadership capacities that can be developed and managed in ways that enhance the performance of individuals, groups, and organizations. The program fosters students’ understanding of their own leadership capabilities and how to apply that understanding to becoming high-impact authentic leaders. GLSI provides each participant a learning-rich environment that not only promotes the development of one’s own leadership, but also prepares participants to help facilitate the development of leadership in others.
